Providing power supply during opening and closing ceremonies for the Olympic games 13 and 29th August 2004 and Paralympics games 17 and 28th September 2004.

Guaranteed power, turnkey solution

The Athens 2004 opening/closing ceremonies have surpassed all previous ceremonies in terms of equipment, performance and spectacle. Our customer request Energyst to guarantee the provision of clean and uninterrupted power during the ceremony and whilst the show equipment was being assembled and disassembled.

In the extremely unlikely circumstance that one genset were to fail the others could easily sustain a clean and uninterrupted power supply.

Quick and flexible response

The customer requested that we should be flexible in early call-on and call-off in order to provide equipment best suited for the load demand. This required an equally flexible transport solution that could be put into action at very short notice. The personnel that supervised the gensets were Event industry specialists and as such provided the customer, who had no previous event experience, with invaluable support. Energyst had on-site support from the local Cat dealer, Eltrak.
